Updated Statement Concerning Range Operations During NYS State of Emergency

Dear Members and Guests,

This message is intended to give everyone an update concerning activities at the range during the current State of Emergency.  This message will replace what was conveyed to you in our message from March 13.

After much consideration by the Board, Ten X is suspending organized club activities until further notice.  Here are the specifics:

  • the General Membership Meeting scheduled for April 6 is cancelled.
  • our Junior Marksmanship Program is suspended until school resumes.
  • the remaining NFPL match will be a postal match; team members may fire this match, by yourself, anytime this week.  Leave the score card on the stats desk.  Your range fee will still go in the deposit box.
  • the First Responder’s Night is postponed to a future date.
  • the SPL/NFPL season end “900” match is postponed to a future date
  • the pistol permit safety class is cancelled.

The indoor and outdoor ranges will still be open for casual shooting.  The Club is adopting the Centers for Disease Control (“CDC”) policy limiting social gatherings to ten or less persons until the State of Emergency is lifted.  Continue to practice social distancing as appropriate.

We are asking all members and guests to take all recommended precautions to limit the spread of the virus.

  • If you are sick DO NOT visit the Club!
  • If you believe you may have come in contact with someone who is sick DO NOT visit the club!
  • Please wash your hands.
  • Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze.
  • Please follow all the other recommendations that have been made by the CDC and the Health Department to limit the spread and exposure of the virus.

We hope that the current public health crisis abates soon and that we can get back to normal.  Please check the webpage and the Facebook page for further updates.

Please do take advantage of this time to talk walks outside, to practice dry-firing, to practice draw and cover drills, to reload, and to otherwise continue to enjoy our sport in ways that limit health concerns.

For the Board of Directors,

Peter Vasilion, President
