December 2020 Newsletter

The December 2020 General Membership meeting will be held on:
Monday, December 7, 2020 at 7:30 pm at the indoor range, 853 Ransom Road, Lancaster.

The year that will live in infamy is coming to a close, but a new era is beginning at Ten X.  We are pleased to announce that we are back to in-person meetings AND we are no able to live-stream meetings via the Internet.  The December meeting will be conducted from the indoor range at 853 Ransom Road.  A Zoom link will be posted to this newsletter and on the Club calendar as we get closer to December 7.  NOTE: At the present time, Erie County is going back into a Yellow and possibly an Orange state. Please check the webpage for more information about the December meeting. We will attempt to have an in-person meeting depending on conditions and Health Department restrictions at the time.

In order to bring our meetings to your living room, the Club has installed high speed internet in place of our old phone system.  We owe a huge thank you to Tom E. and Eric M. for doing most of the leg work in getting the system installed.  We are super excited about the possibilities the technology brings.  We expect that we will be able to have more members participate in meetings, the ability to have better access control to our building, better security, and the ability to bring members and guests into the world of league shooting.   This is the future.  This is our new era.

●   The Election of Officers for 2021 will take place at the December meeting. The official ballot is enclosed with the paper December 2020 newsletter and will be e-mailed out about two weeks before the meeting. You may vote in person or by mail-in/absentee ballot.  Ballots mailed in must be in an envelope bearing your return address.  Members may only cast one ballot. To send in mail-in ballots, mail them to Ten X, PO Box 226, Lancaster, NY 14086. Ballots must be received by Friday December 4 to count!

●  Dues for 2020 are officially payable as of January 1. Dues continue to be $110.00 per year.  The annual work and volunteer assessment is $75.00.  If you honored your work commitment to the club for 2020, you can have your 2019 assessment rolled-over to 2021, or you can ask for the club to remit your assessment back to you.  However, if you ask for your 2020 assessment to be refunded, you will still need to send in a check for $185.00  ($110 dues + $75 assessment = $185.00).  Key fobs remain $10.00 for 2020.  If you did not contribute any volunteer time to the club in 2020, you will not receive a remittance of your work assessment.  Any questions concerning the dues will be answered by the Treasurer, Martin G., who can be reached by email at:  If you have questions about your work hours, please email either of our Volunteer Coordinators, Jim O. or Joe M. at and

●   We are participating in the Niagara Frontier and Suburban Pistol leagues this year.  In fact, we have one of the largest rosters in either league.  All matches are postal this year and special rules allow you to shoot your scores pretty much anytime during the week from Sunday to Friday night.  Shooters will staple their score card to their targets and place them into the bin made by member Carl B.  Out team captains go over them weekly and send in the scores electronically.  As results come in, we are posting them to the website pretty much in real time. League dues are $10.00 per shooter, payable to Jim G or Al H.  You can also put your $10.00 in an envelope and put it into the indoor range cashbox.

The next set of league matches are:
