March 2021 Newsletter

The next general membership meeting isMarch 1, 2021 at 7:30 PM at 853 Ransom Road

● One year ago, we had the last normal membership meeting. The world rapidly changed after March 4 and we wound up cancelling meeting after meeting because no one understood COVID. But, Ten X survived. And our membership survived. We are not aware that any of our members passing away, and more importantly, no member or guest became infected from using our Club, even with the shoulder-to-shoulder pistol leagues resuming this past October. As your Club President, I want to thank each of our members who stuck with us and who used the range with attention and care for your fellow shooters. […]

Youth Program Summer 2020 Update

Hi everyone – now that the Governor has announced his plans for reopening schools we have a better idea of what the expectations are in terms of the required set-up of a “learning” environment – be it in school or in a recreational setting.

After a review of those requirements, and our own internal review of our facilities and abilities, we regret to announce that we will not be able to resume our program in September.

It probably won’t come as a surprise to any of you that we simply cannot come up with a way where we can have the standard six feet of separation at our indoor ranges and have any more than two or three shooters on the line at any given […]

Treasurer’s June Update

Greetings Ten X Members!

Here is a quick reminder of just how important your Range Fees are to your Club. And a plea to all our Members that you don’t take for granted your obligation to Ten X when you use our considerable resources to help you fill your leisure time with your favorite activity.

Normally, your Range Fees account for about 13% (maybe slightly more) of all the income of this fine Club. Normally, Range Fees simply augment the rest of our annual income. And, clearly, though it’s just $3 or $6 at-a-time for each of us and our Guests, these token contributions add up. And fast!

This year, for obvious reasons, things are considerably different. With the lack of income from Club-sanctioned activities and the prohibition of our participation in the many local competitive shooting leagues, your Range Fees have become more important than ever.

So far this year, and we’re not even to the half-way point of 2020, Range Fees have accounted for a whopping 23.25% […]
