Ten-X Shooting Club was incorporated in New York State as a Domestic Not-For-Profit Corporation in 1958. Since then, the club has been dedicated to promoting the sport of competitive pistol shooting. We also support and host the Iroquois Central High School Rifle Team, a NRA 3-Position Rifle youth program.
The purpose of this organization shall be the encouragement of organized rifle and pistol shooting among citizens of the United States resident in our community, with a view toward a better knowledge on the part of such citizens of the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improved marksmanship. It shall be our further object and purpose to promote the development of the characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance, which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism.
Any citizen of the United States may become a member of the organization. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and must be members of the National Rifle Association (or be willing to become a member). Applicants must attend three club events, whether they be meetings, practices, work parties, or matches before they can be voted into membership.
Our facilities consist of an indoor 20-position fifty foot (50′) target range for handgun and smallbore (.22 rimfire) rifles. Center fire handguns are permitted, but jacketed and/or high velocity ammunition is strictly forbidden from the indoor range. In other words, lead reloads indoors only. Target carriers are pneumatically turned and electronically timed for consistent match conditions. We also have an outdoor facility with 30 covered shooting positions with turning targets at 25 and 50 yards. We offer 24-hour card controlled access to the indoor facility to members in good standing after 6 months.
Open practices are held every Thursday night from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Monthly business meetings are held every first Monday of the month. Stop by for an application or to view the club! Meetings and winter practices are held at the indoor range at 853 Ransom Road in the Town of Lancaster, New York.
